St. Stephen's Community House and Annick Press proudly celebrated the launch of the inspiring book, It's Not All Black and White on October 11, 2012 at the Waterfalls Indian Tapas & Grill in Kensington Market.
It's Not All Black and White is the first book of its kind published in Canada and is an intimate look into a topic rarely discussed – mixed race – presenting the experiences, realities and powerful stories by multiracial youth authors. This is the third in our book series written by youth for youth, adding to the successful, The Little Black Book for Girlz and The Little Black Book for Guys.
In a very moving part of the evening, some of the young authors read excerpts of the book. We also had a glimpse of the trailer of Making Sense of One, the companion documentary by MoD productions which will be shown on CBC television.
The book is available through Annick Press or Indigo.
