One of our most effective and innovative tools is our Fotonovela. Twenty-five Portuguese-speaking volunteers wrote the story of a family as they struggle with communication, secrets, prejudice, beliefs, gender roles and generational differences. First published in 2006, it has since been reprinted in Portuguese and re-scripted and published in English and Spanish.

Many people around the world remember playing a simple fortune telling game from childhood. We adapted the Paper Game to teach the basic facts of HIV/AIDS and it is also fun to play! The Paper Game has been extremely successful: our partner CATIE has distributed more than 40,000 copies in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese across Canada.
