Opportunity Knocks

Our virtual Opporunity Knocks for youth who are out of work and not going back to school in the fall is program is starting July 13.

A PAID 16 week program, Opportunity Knocks is designed for youth who are not in school and out of work.

Here's what you get with Opportunity Knocks:

  • 4 weeks paid training
  • 12 weeks paid job placement
  • certification in Food Handling, Smart Serve and Service Excellence
  • information about worker rights and responsibilities 
  • help with long-term career goals
  •  continued support and professional guidance from our Job Developer

Eligibility:

  • must be between 15 and 30 years of age
  • in need of assistance to overcome barriers to finding and keeping a job
  • out of school and out of work on a full-time basis
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a protected person
  • not in receipt of Employment Insurance (EI) benefits (or have not received EI in last three years)
